LEFT NOSTRIL BREATHING
Cover your right nostril with your thumb and point the other fingers to the roof. Inhale through the left nostril, hold for a second and exhale.
PLAY MUSIC
Putting on a song that reminds you of a happy time will trick your brain into a smile or a giggle and break the anxious state. Repeat this each time you feel vulnerable.
ARM ACTIVITY
Cross your arms and place your hand under each armpit. Find the tender spot and apply some pressure. Close your eyes and focus on your breath as you continue applying the pressure for two-and-a-half minutes. On the inhale the belly comes out and on the exhale the belly comes back in towards the spine.
FINGER FLICKS
Place your thumb pad over the top of the nail of your middle finger and flick the middle finger on both hands. This sends the signal to both hemispheres of the brain to correspond with each other, allowing the opportunity to bring you back into a state of equilibrium. Keep on flicking your fingers for three minutes.
