FAME TO BLAME FOR JULIE’S SPLIT
Julie Bowen has separated from her husband of 13 years Scott Phillips – with the pressure of her fame being blamed for the shock split.
“Julie is a huge name in the TV world, and that comes with a lot of obligations,” an insider tells. “But Hollywood has never been Scott’s scene and it just got too much for him, he hated being trotted out for events. But for Julie, career comes first.
“She’s already busy with Modern Family and now she’s trying to become a major comedy movie star. It doesn’t leave a lot of time to focus on her personal life.”
In 2016, Julie admitted it was “tough” for her real-estate investor husband to be “a purse holder” on the red carpet, and joked they were just “too tired” to split up. p.
“They both tried to make it work for the he sake of their kids [Oliver, 10, and twins John and Gustav, eight], but sadly, they’ve y’ve been living separate lives for a while,” the insider tells Woman’s Day. “Ultimately, y, they just grew apart.”
