REAL-LIFE DIVORCE FEARS FOR SJP
Sarah Jessica Parker claims time apart is “enormously beneficial” to her 20-year marriage to Matthew Broderick, but she’s not fooling her friends, who think the pair are on rockier ground than they let on. An insider says, “They hardly spend any time together and don’t have much in common besides the kids [James, 15, and twins Tabitha and Marion, eight].”
For years, the couple are believed to have been living in separate adjoining townhouses in New York – with the Divorce star, 52, in one, and Matthew, 55, taking up residence in another. “It seems they rather enjoy having their own space than put in the effort to see each other more,” the insider tells Woman’s Day. “They claim it’s good for them, but the reality is it’s only making them grow apart.”
“Relationships are hard”, says SJP, who recently hit the headlines when her long-running and bitter feud with Sex And The City co-star Kim Cattrall was revealed. “Your needs are shifting. You and your partner are going to change. It seems silly, but I think you’re lucky if you like the person.”
