5 WAYS TO TRUST YOURSELF MORE

Pay attention to what your mind is telling you throughout the day. Is that voice critical and judgemental? Is it saying “you can’t do it” or “nobody will listen”? If so, try to challenge such thoughts by reminding yourself of times you have been successful, or how it felt when you acted on your needs and wants.

Become aware of your body. Our minds and bodies are more connected than you might think. Take time out of your day to just breathe. Give awareness to your senses – they give clues to what your body needs.

Learn from mistakes without punishing yourself for them. It’s called growth.

Remember moments when you felt happiest. What were you doing and who were you with? This will point to what you value most. Aim to include these things in your life in small ways.

Find moments of appreciation daily. This might not seem important in building self-trust, but when we start building peace in the present, our inner voice gets louder and we appreciate what it says more.
