WAFFLES WITH SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE

SERVES 4 PREP 10 MINS COOK 5 MINS

300ml thickened cream

1 cup brown sugar 60g butter, chopped

½ tsp sea salt flakes

8 Belgium waffles, toasted ice-cream, mixed berries, chopped pecans (optional), to serve

1 In a medium saucepan, combine cream, sugar, butter and salt on low. Stir until sugar dissolves.

2 Increase heat to medium and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring often, 3-4 mins until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

3 Place 2 waffles on each serving plates. Top each with ice-cream, drizzle with sauce and finish with berries and nuts.
