And he’s only 16!

The eldest son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is all grown up – and Woman’s Day can reveal Maddox Jolie-pitt is looking to fly the coop!

The 16-year-old is planning to leave the family home in LA, and sources say his overprotective mum is freaking out.

“Maddox wants to study drama or even business while le he he’s s in high school and then at college, either in Europe or New York,” explains an insider.

“He loves the idea of being a regular student on campus. He’s at an age where he wants to figure out who he is and what he wants to do with his life, away from the pressures of his famous family.”

Maddox has already had a taste of workin working in Hollywood, helping out on Angelina’s movies By The Sea and First They Killed My Father, with an executive producer credit under his belt.

But his worried mother is now dreading the thought of her teenage son going out alone to pursue his dreams.

“Maddox has enjoyed the experience of working behind the scenes with his mum,” says the insider. “He knows he could start working in the movie industry right out of school, but he really wants the chance to have an authentic college experience. “Brad wants that for him, too, but Angelina is more nervous about it. Her concern isn’t just security – it’s how Mad will adapt to the spotlight when he’s out on his own.” Angelina, 42, recently revealed her oldest son is an ambitious person, saying proudly, “He’s quite capable and always takes me by surprise.” But even so, sources say she’s desperately trying to persuade Maddox to stay in LA with his family for a little longer. However, the strongwilled teenager isn’t likely to change his mind. “Maddox has so much respect for his mum, but he also knows what he wants and he’s going to go after it,” adds the insider. “This is the day Angie’s been dreading for years, but now it’s finally happening.”
