Work-from-home tips

EMBRACE THE SUNSHINE

Sunlight keeps you awake and alert – that is, productive! As the sun starts to set we naturally get more tired and productivity reduces, hence the 3.30pm slump. Position your workspace where you can get exposure to vitamin D.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

Research has found temperatures between 20-25°C are ideal, but anything over or under will lower productivity and increase errors.

ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS

It’s easy to get distracted by the TV, pets, neighbourhood noise or endless housework, but try wearing noisecancelling headphones and putting on calming, mindful music.

MINIMISE GADGETS

Choose devices with maximum functions – a smartphone (which also acts as a clock and calendar), a laptop and a working internet connection is all you should need. Two computer screens will also reduce time spent flicking between documents.
