1 Don’t just be on time, be early!

We often underestimate the time it takes to fill out paperwork and prepare for the treatment in the changing rooms. Arriving late eats into your treatment time, as therapists must stay on schedule and generally will not run over. Be early for another great reason: more and more spas now have special welcome rituals, arrival elixirs and pre-treatment treats.

2 Ask about the facilities

Is there a pool? Steam? Sauna? Your time at the spa is not just about the treatment. The spa environment should be a place where you want to relax and enjoy yourself, so why not make a day of it!

3 Try something new

We all love a standard massage but stretch your spa wings and give something else a go. There are many effective and creative ways to heal and relax the body. Ask lots of questions when booking your treatments to find the best fit for you.

4 Absolutely no phones

Although the thought of leaving it behind makes you anxious, it’s a big no-no to bring your phone. Part of good spa-ing is reconnecting with yourself by being aware and attentive to your wellbeing.
