British actor Ralph Fiennes set tongues wagging last week after he was caught visiting a Thai massage parlour.
Dressed down in a coat, jeans and a backpack, Ralph, 55, was spotted wandering around London’s Soho district late at night, before stopping in at Boonsawad Thai Spa & Massage 10.45pm for more than an hour. The parlour charges $132 for a one-hour body scrub and offers to leave clients with a “serious glow”.
But at midnight, Ralph had to go and withdraw cash from a local ATM, with onlookers speculating he’d run into trouble paying the bill on his card.
“After paying, Ralph jumped in a black cab and disappeared. He looked as if he thoroughly enjoyed himself,” an insider told The Sun.
As Woman’s Day’s photos show, Ralph was escorted by a worker from the massage parlour to retrieve the funds.
An insider says, “This is obviously quite embarrassing for Ralph, even if his trip to the massage parlour was totally innocent.
“For an A-list actor of his standing to have problems paying the bill is the last thing anyone would expect. It’s highly bizarre seeing him in a situation like this.”
