KATY’S HEARTBREAK OVER COURTROOM TRAGEDY
Katy Perry is at the centre of a tragedy after a nun involved in her ongoing property battle died in court.
Sister Catherine Rose Holzman was trying to prevent Katy from buying the nuns’ LA convent, after the archdiocese decided to remove them and sell the property. Instead, the sisters wanted the building to go to a restaurateur who offered $1 million more and promised to keep it open to the public. Just before she passed away, Sister Holzman, 89, fronted cameras outside the court, asking the singer not to pursue the sale. “Katy Perry, please stop,” she begged. “It’s not doing anyone any good except hurting a lot of people.”
The 33-year-old pop star hasn’t commented on the nun’s death, but sources say she will be devastated. “The word is that Katy has to keep quiet because the legal dispute is still going on, but hearing the news must have really upset her,” an insider says. “Katy will be absolutely heartbroken.”
