Angelo popped the question in Miami.
Talk about a double celebration! During a sunny trip to Miami to celebrate her 60th birthday recently, Sharon Stone found another reason to pop the champagne – a surprise proposal from her handsome toyboy!
As she strolled along the beach, the actress’ incredible figure and hunky boyfriend Angelo Boffa weren’t the only things turning heads. On her left ring finger Sharon flaunted an impressive emerald-cut dazzler – after what we’re told was a romantic proposal.
“Sharon seemed absolutely besotted, with both the ring and her new fiance,” a witness reveals to Woman’s Day. “She couldn’t stop kissing him.”
While Sharon’s rep has been trying to hose down the engagement buzz, her inner circle is already getting very excited about the upcoming wedding.
Sharon and real-estate mogul Angelo, who at 41 is 19 years her junior, were first spotted together in January in New York, at an event publicising her new TV drama Mosaic.
Now, just two months later, insiders close to the couple tell Woman’s Day they’re already planning an intimate ceremony in his native Italy.
This will be Sharon’s third trip down the aisle. Her first marriage, to producer Michael Greenburg, ended in 1987 after just three years. The actress went on to marry San Francisco Chronicle editor Phil Bronstein in 1998, but he filed for divorce five years later. Before she met Angelo, Sharon, who says reaching 60 is her “greatest achievement”, made it clear she wasn’t interested in dating unless it was the real deal.
“You know the way a man can look at you? Where you know he really sees you? I don’t want to be with someone unless it’s like that,” she said.
