There’s an age-old belief that it’s better to have fewer, closer friends as opposed to countless acquaintan­ces. But according to Jacqui, one isn’t necessaril­y better than the other. “There are some people who are quite introverte­d, which means they need more time on their own to refuel and may not have the capacity to make lots of friends,” she says. “But then there are other people who are extroverts and get fuelled up by being with people all the time. They might want a bigger pool of friends so they’ve always got something to do and someone to be with. It really depends what works for you and what makes you feel positive and sustained.”
