Carly & Troy engaged
They shocked viewers when they declared their love for one another after their original marriages failed to go the distance, and now Carly Bowyer and Troy Delmege have taken the next big step – getting engaged for real!
Rumours began swirling IT manager Troy, 35, had put a ring on it, after he shared a throwback video on Instagram of Carly, 32, playing Jenga and flaunting a diamond on her left ring finger.
And an insider confirms to Woman’s Day the pair were indeed secretly together then, having hooked up in November last year.
“Flashback to us in lockdown before the show started airing,” he captioned the video.
It didn’t take long for eager fans to begin congratulating Troy and Carly on their happy news.
“Is that an engagement ring on her finger?” asked one Instagram follower, before another quickly replied, “I think so, that was quick!” Another added, “Engaged, we see... purposeful display?”
Since going public with their romance, the couple’s relationship has moved at lightning speed, with Troy quitting his Sydney job to live with Carly in Melbourne.
Just last week, the marketing manager praised her former on-screen hubby Justin Fischer for handling her new relationship with Troy “like a champ”.
“Special shoutout to Justin for being so supportive and happy for Troy and me!” she posted on her Instagram account.
However, one cast member who’s bound to be left off the wedding list is Troy’s former wife Ashley Irvin, having shared her dislike for the pair after learning about their romance at the MAFS reunion dinner party.
“I’m very hurt. As for Carly, I don’t care for her much at all and I never will,” Ashley said.
While the pair are yet to confirm their engagement news, their former MAFS contestants Sean Thomsen and Tracey Jewel are also apparently ready to make the big commitment.
“Sean and Tracey have been living together and now they’re looking at engagement rings,” says a source. “They can’t wait to make the news official!”
