The bookies might be favouring classic names like Alice, Mary, Albert and Arthur for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third-born child, but they’ve yet to factor in big brother and sister’s top name choices!

“Prince George and Princess Charlotte have begged their mum and dad to name the new baby,” reveals a palace insider.

“They’re so excited for their sibling to arrive they’re barely sleeping – and they’re both giving their nanny a hell of a time!”

William, 35, and Kate, 36, are said to be “in fits of laughter” over the name suggestions, with a source saying four-year-old George G h has hi his h heart set on a little brother named Sam.

“He’s obsessed with Fireman Sam at the moment, so everything is named Sam, from his stuffed toy dog to his future sibling,” says the source.

Meanwhile, Charlotte, who turns three on May 2, wants a sister to be named after her favourite Disney royal – Queen Elsa from Frozen.

“Charlotte’s such a girly girl and watches Disney princess movies on repeat,” says the insider.

“Kate and William think it’s adorable because Charlotte doesn’t yet understand she’s a real-life princess.

“They’ve promised their children they will think very seriously about the name choices… but it’s pretty hard to imagine them actually going with Prince Sam!”
