The embattled TV host is sparing no expense for his ‘real’ nuptials in the US
Inside their secret LA wedding
Karl Stefanovic has written fiancee Jasmine Yarbrough a blank cheque to plan the “wedding of her dreams” at one of the most famous celebrity haunts in the world – and this time it will be official! The divorced father-ofthree and Jasmine held secret meetings with a renowned wedding planner months ago at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, still one of the favourites of movie stars and millionaires.
The hot tip is that shoe designer Jasmine wants superstar wedding planner Sharon Sacks, who famously organised reality TV queen Kim Kardashian’s ill-fated $10 million wedding to first husband, basketball star Kris Humphries. That marriage lasted 72 days.
“Sharon’s clients read like a who’s who,” says one insider. “On top of planning Kim’s European wedding to Kanye, she also has Madonna, Pierce Brosnan, Jennifer Lopez and even [former] President Bill Clinton on her VIP list. I’m not sure how big Jasmine is on her radar.”
NO EXPENSE SPARED
“Jasmine is a lot younger and obviously less well known than Karl, so she still loves all the fanfare, and likes being a celebrity,” snipes one LA friend, who reveals Karl, 43, and 34-year-old Jasmine spent five nights in an $1800-a-night suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel after their ski strip to Aspen last year.
“They’re pretty well-known at the hotel, and the staff were bending over backwards for them. They met with wedding planners then, and Karl’s already booked the venue.”
The insider says the wedding is expected to be in late November, with less than 100 people invited to see Karl make Jasmine his wife, after their unorthodox commitment ceremony in Sydney last month.

Jasmine had no trouble convincing Karl to book the landmark hotel, affectionately known as the “Pink Palace”, and famed for hosting some of LA’S most prestigious and elegant weddings.
With Jasmine’s Pinterest wedding file growing every day, friends can’t wait for the event.
“Jasmine loves the prestige of it being a Beverly Hills address because she lived in a very basic apartment on the fringes of LA when she was based there, and what girl wouldn’t want to get married at the Beverly Hills Hotel?
“Karl’s given her free rein on the spend. The flowers alone will be upwards of $100,000! And it’s going to cost at least $600 a head for food, and there’s the bill for the vintage French champagne on top of that,” the source says.
BREAK-UP DRAMAS
“The dress is being designed in New York, but she’s keeping it pretty quiet. I don’t know which couture house has been commissioned. I know she wants to wear two different dresses on the day.”
Friends say it’s unlikely any of Karl’s children will attend the glitzy event, which is planned for a weekend before Ava, 13, and 12-year-old River finish their school terms. Eldest son Jackson, 18, is devoted to his mum and has no desire to attend his dad’s second wedding.
“I think Karl also delayed it until the end of the year because e he’s trying to sort out his financial l affairs with Cass before he officially y remarries,” another source says.
News broke Karl had split with h his wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn, in September 2016.
“Contrary to reports, they’ve not agreed on the all-important finances,” says the source.
“We joke that Cass actually owns half of Jasmine’s engagement ring!”
