Bridal diet & exercise, sexier after 60, brain food, perfect downtime

Princess-to-be Meghan Markle has been dedicated to keeping her diet as clean as possible before walking down the aisle.

“She is very aware of what type of food she’s putting in her body,” says Joe Satanowski, who works at the future duchess’ favourite health food cafe, Revitasize, in Toronto. “She’d come in two to three times a week and absolutely loved to eat our acai bowl… She was also really into green juice.

“She knows by eating cleaner, you’re going to feel better. And that’s going to be the secret to her wedding. She is committed to being healthy. That’s who she is and why she’ll be able to handle the stress of the day.”

In fact, Meghan says she keeps a plant-based diet during the week to ensure she’s getting plenty of nutrition. “I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends,” she tells Best Health magazine.

So what’s in her cheat meal? “I could eat French fries all day. And I love pasta… The same goes for wine. Of course I’m going to have that glass of wine – it’s delicious and I enjoy it. Do the things you enjoy within reason. Know your body and what works for you and you’ll be fine.”

Meghan is ramping up her exercise plan to look and feel her best when all eyes are upon her on May 19.

“Meghan is already in great shape,” h ” celebrity l bit trainer t i Paulette Sybliss tells Express, “so to ensure she looks spectacular for her big day and has the perfect bikini body on her honeymoon, I’d recommend she focus on a balanced workout routine, some resistance training and some yoga, which she loves lo to do.

“Also some cardio cardi that will get every part of her h body toned and in amazing amaz shape.

“Pairing exercise exercises together in the form of a superset super or triset [three [th exercises i back-to-back] b will be one of the best ways to get her body in amazing shape in a shorter period. This style of training is great for burning calories during training, as well as after her workouts have ended.”
