WHY Beans con­tain an­tiox­i­dants, vi­ta­mins and min­er­als such as cop­per, iron, mag­ne­sium, cal­cium, potas­sium and zinc.

HOW Choose a spot with lots of sun and great drainage. Sim­ply sow the seeds into moist soil.

2 MI­CRO­GREENS

WHY They have higher lev­els of nu­tri­ents than their full-grown coun­ter­parts.

HOW Sprin­kle seeds over a pot and cover with a thin layer of seed rais­ing mix. Keep the soil moist and po­si­tion in a well-lit spot in­doors.

3 SWEET POTATO

WHY They’re crammed with vi­ta­mins, min­er­als and fi­bre.

HOW Plant them into the ground when you have five months of warm, frost-free weather. Ap­ply a soil im­prover around the roots ev­ery six weeks and keep pests at bay.
