WHY Beans contain antioxidants, vitamins and minerals such as copper, iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium and zinc.
HOW Choose a spot with lots of sun and great drainage. Simply sow the seeds into moist soil.
WHY They have higher levels of nutrients than their full-grown counterparts.
HOW Sprinkle seeds over a pot and cover with a thin layer of seed raising mix. Keep the soil moist and position in a well-lit spot indoors.
3 SWEET POTATO
WHY They’re crammed with vitamins, minerals and fibre.
HOW Plant them into the ground when you have five months of warm, frost-free weather. Apply a soil improver around the roots every six weeks and keep pests at bay.
