1 onion, finely chopped 500g beef mince 700ml jar tomato passata a with basil 200g mushrooms, chopped e eded 1½ cups shell pasta
1 Spray a large saucepan with olive oil. Saute onion 2-3 mins on high until tender.
2 Add mince. Cook, breaking up lumps, 4-5 mins until well browned.
3 Stir in passata and mushroom. Rinse passata jar with 1 cup water, stock or wine and add to saucepan. Bring to boil.
4 Reduce heat to low. Mix in pasta. Simmer 15-20 mins, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Season to taste.
5 Serve sprinkled with chopped flat-leaf parsley and grated parmesan, if you like.
