ISN’T HE LOVELY!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have debuted their third child to rapturous applause in London, completing their gorgeous family of five

Prince George’s arrival was cause for much celebration because a future king was born. Princess Charlotte was adored because she was the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s little princess. But holding a special place in Kate’s heart is her third born, another son, who many royal commentators are predicting will be spoilt rotten by his adoring mum and dad.

Kate, 36, has already changed the way she’ll mother her new little prince, taking extended maternity leave from royal engagements to enjoy his first four months without the glare of the spotlight.

This is in stark contrast to the way she returned to her hectic public life just a short six weeks after welcoming George, and two months after Charlotte was born.

The prince arrived at 11.01am on Monday, April 23, after a five-hour labour, weighing 3.8kg (8lbs, 7oz) – 30g (1oz) heavier than his big brother George.

The immaculately dressed duchess left the luxury Lindo Wing maternity ward of St Mary’s Hospital in London just seven hours after the birth,

pausing for the traditional photocall to debut the newest little royal to the world.

George, four, and Charlotte, who turns three this week, stole the show when their dad brought them to the hospital to introduce them to their baby brother.

Still decked out in his Wetherby Preparatory School uniform, George shyly hung onto Prince William’s hand while glancing suspiciously at the throng of media and flag-waving fans. Charlotte, often described as “the one in charge” by members of the royal family – waved adorably, as if the entire crowd were there simply for her.

But George proved his big brother credentials as the three made their way into the hospital, and fans caught a glimpse of him rushing over to Charlotte’s side and placing a protective arm around her shoulder as they prepared to meet the newest member of the clan.

Dressed in a bright red frock from her go-to designer Jenny Packham and high heels, a glowing Kate was mesmerised by her baby as she presented

him to the waiting public – a superhuman effort considering she had given birth only hours earlier.

She and William packed his capsule into their waiting Audi SUV with ease and made the 10-minute journey back to their Kensington Palace apartment, where Kate’s sister Pippa and William’s cousin Princess Eugenie soon joined them to meet the littlest royal.

Prince Charles was away in France attending Anzac Day services but released a statement on behalf of himself and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, saying, “We are both so pleased at the news. It is a great joy to have another grandchild, the only trouble is I don’t know how we are going to keep up with them.”

The new arrival is fifth in line to the throne, pushing Prince Harry down to sixth.

As the new royal settles into life at Kensington Palace with his adoring family, insiders tell Woman’s Day George and Charlotte are smitten with their little brother, and have painted special pictures for him, which will be framed in his nursery.

So they don’t feel left out, it’s believed their Aunt Pippa presented them with cute “Big brother” and “Big sister” pyjamas and matching robes.

Meanwhile, William, in awe of his wife’s poise and charm as she embraces motherhood once more, is said to have gifted his wife a special brooch made from his late mother Diana’s jewels – a touching gift as they continue the journey of parenthood together.

While commentators aren’t ruling out a fourth child for Kate and Wills, for now, with three children under five and their new baby settling into royal life, there’s no doubt Kate feels her family is truly complete.
