EDDY’S WEDDING... & A BABY!

There was double the reason to smile on the star’s big day!

- Sunrise

There wasn’t a dry eye on the farm when Edwina Bartholomew and her partner Neil Varcoe said “I do” under a whimsical canopy of trees on their stunning NSW property, surrounded by 160 friends and family, including Sunrise co-stars Sam Armytage, Nat Barr and Larry Emdur.

And it seems Sunrise sweetheart Eddy and her new husband Neil might have more than one reason to celebrate, with rumours Eddy could be pregnant, after she revealed she was given children’s books on her big day.

“Absolutely, we’d love to have a family,” says Eddie. “I’m 34 and all my friends are having kids so it’s definitely on the cards.”

Radiating happiness, Eddy looked beautiful dressed in a breathtaking wedding dress worn by three generations of her family, including her much-loved grandmother Mimi in 1944, and lovingly restored by designer Sonia Cappellazzo.

Every detail of their special day was beautifully thought out, from Eddy and Neil’s emotional joint wedding speech to the personalised handwritten notes

‘We’d love to have a family… all my friends are having kids’

waiting for every guest at the table. The food and wine was locally sourced from Mudgee and the wedding cake made by a friend. Everyone went home with gifts of farm-made honey. As an emotional Eddy said the morning after the wedding, “It’s so hard to find the words to describe the most beautiful day of our lives. This morning I woke up early and went back to our amazing marquee to soak up some sun. We are so incredibly indebted to every single person on this list who made our wedding day so spectacular. From hailstorms, bogong moth plagues, generators running out of diesel, kids colouring-in in the dark, G-strings on the dance floor and campfire singalongs. It was epic.

“Thank you for all of your beautiful messages and kind thoughts. We are overwhelmed and so grateful.”
