Vivid Sydney is Australia’s largest event, so head in early. The lights come to life every night at 6pm, so make sure you get the most out of your visit by using the Vivid Sydney app to plan in advance and schedule in your favourite events.

Don’t overload

It’s impossible to fit everything into one night so I suggest multiple visits. You could start in The Rocks, Circular Quay and The Royal Botanic Garden and work your way to precincts including Darling Harbour, Kings Cross, Taronga Zoo, Luna Park and Chatswood.

Know your vantage points

1 LUNA PARK 2018 marks Luna Park’s first year as a precinct, offering a waterside view of the lights, where you can snap a great picture while taking a ride on the ferris wheel.

2 ON THE WATER Cruises and ferries offer exceptional vantage points. See things from a different perspective, with the added bonus of less crowds.

3 TARONGA ZOO Animal-themed Vivid installations and home to one of the best views of Sydney Harbour.
