CHARLIE & DENISE REUNITE FOR THEIR KIDS
They may have split in 2005, but Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards continue to play happy families for the sake of their teenage daughters.
“Everything has been going really smooth between Charlie and Denise,” says an insider.
“They all went out to dinner for Lola’s birthday the other night. It was Charlie, his girlfriend Julia, Denise, her boyfriend and the girls.”
Denise – who shares daughters Sam, 14, and 13-year-old Lola with the actor – filed for divorce in 2005 after almost three years of marriage.
But their relationship post-split hasn’t exactly been plain sailing. Denise sued Charlie for $1.6 million in 2016, claiming he owed her money to support the kids.
However, the 52-year-old is now helping his ex-wife, 47, save horses she’s at risk of losing over unpaid bills. And he’s looking happy and healthy two years after revealing he’s living with HIV.
“As soon as Charlie’s house gets leased, they’re actually planning on moving to Malibu to be closer to the girls and get away from LA,” adds the insider. “He and Denise have been through a lot, but they’re in a really good place.”
