1 Unpick the pockets carefully from your jeans. Iron interfacing to the wrong side of the fabric you are using for the pockets. 2 Using the pocket you unpicked, mark the pattern on the wrong side of the fabric. Add 1cm seam allowances all around. Cut out the pocket, fold over the seam allowances to the wrong side and press.

3 Pin the pockets to your jeans, making sure they correspond with the original position to avoid unsightly marks, and stitch down.
