GLENN SHORROCK: ‘I’M NOT A CELEB!’

-

Founding member of Little River Band and The Twilights Glenn Shorrock doesn’t consider himself famous. “I’ve been in this industry for half a century and I’ve brushed shoulders with lots of famous people, but I don’t consider myself a celebrity,” the English-born singer tells Woman’s Day.

Despite his humble nature, it’s no secret Glenn has forged an extremely successful career. And fans can read all about his highs and lows in his first memoir Now, Where Was I?

Not only does he look back at his memories of recording next door to The Beatles, but touring with Cliff Richard as a backing vocalist, too.

“He’s a great guy and I like him a lot,” says Glenn. “I remember coming off stage on opening night and his manager said it went great, but there was one thing... It was Cliff’s show, not mine! I think I was being a little too enthusiastic behind him!”

As well as his passion for performing, Glenn has a secret guilty pleasure.

“I’m a big TV watcher! I watch everything, from the cricket and the footy to Formula One and Breaking Bad! I don’t mind some of those talent shows either!” the music legend admits. Now, Where Was I? (New Holland Publishers, $35)
