Paul Hogan’s ex-wife is seen with their son for the first time in years, as it’s revealed the former couple are holding crisis talks to save him
It’s a sight no parent wants to see. A helpless and heartbroken Paul Hogan has been subjected to watching his youngest son Chance seemingly throw his life away as he spends his days making hardcore tunes with his bandmates and dabbling in alcohol and drugs.
Now, the 78-year-old Crocodile Dundee star has been thrown a lifeline in his desperate bid to save his son – his former wife, co-star and mother to Chance, Linda Kozlowski.
Woman’s Day spotted 60-yearold Linda having lunch with their son in Venice, California, on June 19. It’s the first time the pair have been seen together in public for several years, and proof Linda is determined to get her son back on the straight and narrow.
“They sat across from each other while they were eating, but there wasn’t a lot of conversation going on,” an onlooker reveals. “They weren’t smiling or chatting a lot and Chance didn’t seem to be in the best of moods.”
If this meal was anything to go by, it looks like it might be some time before Chance opens up to his mum, but insiders say it was her way of reconnecting with the 19-year-old before it’s too late.
“Chance has put his dad through the wringer over the
years,” says an insider. “It can’t have been easy on Paul. The bulk of the parenting has fallen to him, and he’s had his hands full raising a teenage son years after raising his eldest five to his first wife. Now, Linda is stepping up.”
Chance has lived with the Aussie comedian since his parents separated in 2013.
And he’s been raising eyebrows for his wayward ways for some time. In 2015, the teenager was caught drinking beers and smoking what appeared to be a bong on the balcony of his father’s home.
He’s also faced rumours of Satan worship, and one of his punk band Rowdy P’s controversial songs includes the lyrics, “Hit my daddy with a baseball bat.”
While Paul had hoped his son’s troubled days were now behind him, Chance was seen rushing outside to ask for water after a recent performance before vomiting in the street.
“Paul has obviously tried his best, but Chance hasn’t made it easy for him. It’s a lot for one person to deal with, and it makes sense he’d call on Linda to try to help him through it.
“Chance isn’t looking in the best health and Linda must be worried he’s not taking good care of himself. It was one thing for him to act out when he was younger, but these days he’s an adult who needs to start taking some responsibility for himself.
“Paul and Linda would love to see Chance get a real job, but the only thing he seems to have any interest in is his band.”
While Linda was previously dividing her days between the US and Morocco with lover Moulay Hafid Baba, she’s now spending almost all of her time in California and has been spotted near Paul’s home.

The couple were married for 24 years and Hoges has previously hinted it was Linda who called time on their romance.
“It was 20 wonderful years, two or three that were sort of like worn out. I’m very flighty – a woman lasts for about a quarter of a century and then they get bored with me,” he said.
But now, it’s believed the former couple are spending lots of quality time together as they hold crisis talks to try to get their son’s life back on track.
“She’s by Paul’s side and showing him that even if they’re not together anymore, she’s going to be there for him. They grew apart while they were married, but Linda would still drop everything if Paul needed her,” adds the insider. “They both want to do what’s best for their son and it’s important they’re on good terms for his sake. On the surface, this may be all about Chance, but it’s bringing them closer together at the same time.”
