Frightening facts about your pillow and how to pprotect it from hidden nasties

BRUSH BEFORE BED

It is very important to brush your hair every night before you go to bed. Your hair is like a mop – it holds a lot of sweat and dirt. Brushing gets rid of excess dead cells and dust.

KEEP IT CLEAN

Sheets should be swapped once a week and pillowcases should be changed every second day. Pillows wash easily and should be cleaned once a month on a gentle cycle.

DRY SPELL

Don’t ever put pillows in the dryer. Place a towel across the top of the washing line so you can sit pillows between the grooves, like a hammock. They’ll dry twice as fast.

USE PROTECTION

Pillow Pil protectors are your second line of defence, adding a as second protective layer beneath your pillowcases. They should sh be washed once a week.

SPIN OR BIN

Put P your pillow across your arm. If it drops into a U shape, it’s i too far gone. Depending on your cleaning habits, you should replace a pillow every one to two years.
