How my cancer was a positive experience

I have – or had – ovarian cancer, stage 3. I’ve finished chemotherapy but am still in the recovery and learning modes. I have learnt so much from this “cancer adventure” – and although it has definitely sucked, I can truly say it has been an amazing experience. For example, I have learnt how to trust love. I never trusted love before and I was so very angry and resentful, but t this has all changed as people h have stepped up to provide help and support from places that I never imagined. The friends I thought would be there, weren’t, and others, well, I have been blown away from the kindness and support from people I just didn’t see before.
