Posh & Becks on the rocks

A body language expert reveals Victoria and David’s relationship is on the rocks

-

They splashed out more than $2700 on a bottle of fancy wine to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary in Paris, but according to a body language expert David and Victoria Beckham will need to do more to save their marriage.

The couple, who have made a string of public appearances in recent times, were spotted at a kids’ sports day in London, where they put on a frosty display despite being in plain view of photographers.

Body language expert Susan Constantine, who has a master’s degree in Leadership Coaching Psychology, tells Woman’s Day: “She’s leaning her torso into him but he’s leaning away from her. He’s about as far away as he can get from her. He’s restraining his discontent. She’s incredibly needy. He’s steadfast and positioning his body to say, ‘I’m disinterested.’ It’s actually called stonewalling.”

This display comes after recent reports David got their sevenyear-old daughter Harper’s school teacher pregnant – claims they strenuously denied – made global news.

A source close to the couple says: “The accusations did serious damage to Posh and Becks. They were already struggling to gel thanks to their separate lives, and then this nearly tore them apart.”

‘ON THE ROCKS’

Susan says their body language confirms that all is not right in the Beckham household. “This relationship is on the rocks,” she says. “If you didn’t know he was married to her, you wouldn’t know there was any intimacy or affection between them.

“She’s using her sexuality to get his attention. She’s not feeling very confident in herself – she holds her body very close, arms to her side, showing a lot of insecurity and neediness.

“In [one of the photos], she’s leaning into him, he’s not responding. His body language is leaning away from her again. She doesn’t understand why he’s acting this way. It could be, ‘We’re not going to display this affection in public,’ or ‘I’m going to barricade and block you in this public arena.’

“She’s highly emotional, and focused on some internal conflict that’s happening. When we see someone grabbing someone around the waist, that’s an emotional movement.”

A source tells Woman’s Day, “Victoria is desperately trying to hold them together for the sake of their kids.”

Unfortunately for her, she could be losing the battle. Adds Susan: “She has the appearance of someone who is just miserable. She looks defeated and insecure.”
