As she endures a barrage of public criticism from her own family, Meghan Markle is now faced with a shock tell-all from her ex – and it’s tearing her apart. Trevor Engelson, who was married to Meghan, 37, from 2011 until 2013, is being led by his family, who sources say are desperate for his side of the story to be made public. “Trevor’s family never liked Meghan and always had a turbulent relationship with her – so much so that at one point they were refusing to even attend their wedding,” one insider tells Woman’s Day.
“They’ve never gotten over the divorce and how Meghan treated Trevor. They’ve been biting their tongues ever since her relationship with Harry went public – turning down big money offers to respect Trevor’s wishes.
“But now Trevor is due to marry again and is in a happy place, they’re ready to talk.
“They’re currently in negotiations with two major US TV networks and they’re set to release a string of explosive details, which they claim could not only ruin Meghan’s clean- cut reputation but also cause major problems between her and the royal family.”
And it seems they may have convinced 41-year-old Trevor, who recently announced his engagement to dietitian Tracey Kurland, to speak out, too.
“Both Harry and Meghan know of their plan, which Harry is desperately trying to intercept,” our source adds. “Meghan has nothing to hide but with everything that’s already been said about her by her family, she can only imagine what Trevor will have to say.”
