Rise to fame
One of Australia’s most popular writers and actors, two-time Logie winner William is best known for his leading roles as Nick Schultz in Blue Heelers and as Max Connors in Seachange. He also won an AFI Award for Best Actor in Unfinished Sky, and starred in Deep
Water and Rake. William is an author, too, and his book Worse Things Happen At Sea, co-written by his late wife Sarah, was named the best non-fiction title in the ABIA and Indie awards.
