In ththe gripsi of f one of f Hhollywood’s ll d’ most t difficult custody battles, Angelina Jolie seems to be pulling out all the stops to keep the kids happy on the home front. The 43-year-old Maleficent actress was recently spotted out and about shopping with the kids and treating them to toys and ice-cream as well as enjoying trips to the movies and an escape room adventure.
However, Woman’s Day sources can reveal all the attention is a fraught attempt by Angelina to win over her young Jolie-pitt clan.
As Angelina and Brad Pitt’s legal teams go to head-to-head over money and access to the couple’s children, insiders reveal the kids are fed up and desperately missing their 54-year-old father.
“Shiloh, Zara and Vivienne in particular are longing to spend time with their dad, but Ange won’t let them,” our source reveals.
“Th “The kid kids are resorting ti tto extreme t measures and trying to sneak out in the dead of night. Ange’s security team is on strict instructions to stop them when they try to make a dash out of the estate. It’s caused some friction because they’ve essentially been barricaded in their own home.”
To remedy the situation, the family fun day out and gift-giving are Angelina’s attempt to win back her brood’s hearts.
“In her mind, if she spoils them, they’ll be happy and won’t want to try and run away again. This custody row has already been so tough on everyone, but it’s got to be really hard for the kids,” says the insider.
“Since the beginning, Ange has been attempting to keep them sweet with vacations and presents – but it seems like what they really need is their dad!”
