Nicole and Tom’s daughter has finally left her troubled past behind her
Strolling through London in the summer sun with her husband Max Parker, Bella Cruise looks the picture of happiness.
And it’s no wonder! Sources tell Woman’s Day the 25-year-old adopted daughter of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise is in the best place she’s ever been, both emotionally and physically – and mum Nicole, 51, is thrilled she’s finally found herself.
“For years, she was a vulnerable figure who couldn’t decide where she really belonged. Everything changed once she met Max. He inspired a level of confidence she lacked and now she knows what she wants and where she’s going,” our insider says.

“She’s doing really well. She’s taking good care of herself, and looking and feeling great! Falling in love had a lot to do with that.”
But things haven’t always been so rosy. A past dogged with family upheaval took its toll. Following Hollywood heavyweights Tom
and Nicole’s divorce in 2001, Bella’s had a limited relationship with her mother, who Tom’s controversial religion Scientology deemed a “suppressive person”.
When Tom married Katie Holmes, Bella’s time was spent traipsing around with her stepmum and half-sister Suri. But when Katie left Tom in 2012, Bella’s relationship with her and Suri became fragmented, too.
FRACTURED FAMILY
“It must have been a strange upbringing for Bella to be without her mum for so long and then to get close to Katie only to lose her as well. Bella was like a little girl lost,” says our source.
When she moved to London to study art, and later hair and makeup, she started to solidify some roots. Now she’s started her own fashion line called Bella Kidman Cruise. “This is Bella’s way of combining her love of art with her passion for the fashion industry,” the insider reveals.
Bella and IT consultant Max married in a small ceremony in London in 2015 attended by close friends. Now the young designer is making her health and wellbeing a priority. “She’s got a spring in her step she didn’t have before,” the insider says. “She’s lost weight and adopted a sleek, new feminine style.”
And as she shuns the spotlight for a behind-the-scenes London life with Max, Bella, who is said to be in regular contact with Nic again, has never been happier. “She’s confident and comfortable in her own skin in a way she never has been before,” adds the insider.
“That’s all Nicole wants for her. Max brings out the best in her and she’s doing what she loves. She has a lot of reasons to smile.”
