Claire Danes’ baby bump

-

Looks like the Homeland star’s about to go pop!

As she strolled through New York City last week, eyes widened and jaws dropped at the size of Claire Danes’ enormous baby bump! The 39-year-old actress announced her pregnancy in April on The Howard Stern Show revealing she was “deep into” her second trimester. “I am pregnant. I’m seriously preggo,” she said.

Judging by these shots of heavily pregnant Claire as she strolled to a doctor’s appointment, tongues are wagging that she could be due to give birth any day now.

While the Romeo And Juliet star and her husband of nine years, Hugh Dancy, 43, refuse to confirm whether they’re having a boy or a girl, Claire has said they were keen to expand their brood and give their fiveyear-old son Cyrus a sibling.

“We’ve been wanting another kid for a while – and it happened,” she said earlier this year.

The expectant couple met while working o on the te movie oe Evening ven together, and while Claire has always longed to become a mother, she wanted to find the right balance between her career and personal life first.

“I’ve always wanted to have kids, but I’m glad I didn’t until now,” she told Elle in 2013.

“When I was thinking about [working and being a mother] originally, I was really nervous about it. I think I would make a lousy stay-at-home mum. It just wouldn’t suit me. I feel so fortunate, in that I’ve had this arrow-straight focus that I wanted to act.”

Despite the demands of juggling a career and motherhood, Claire feels blessed she has an amazing husband by her side.

“Hugh was just the right partner for me. I got very, very lucky,” she said. “And obviously we work hard at maintaining our relationship... but at the same time, it’s just this kind of ease that I can’t really account for.”
