KYLE’S COCAINE CONFESSION
He’s known for being brutally honest but even Kyle Sandilands’ radio co-star Jackie O was shocked to hear he’d been addicted to cocaine for several years. It was in the wake of his divorce from Tamara Jaber in the late 2000s that he turned to drugs to self-medicate, Kyle revealed on air.
“Oh you know, the divorce had happened and life wasn’t great back then so I buried my face into a big pile of cocaine to try and get over it. It didn’t work,” he said. “I was a bit depressed. Well, I didn’t even know if I was depressed or not. Just was self-medicating, bumping back dozens of lines.”
The KISS FM host, 47, went on to say he used cannabis to get off cocaine, but cautioned it was an unhappy time of his life when he didn’t care if he lived or died. “It’s not a good spot to be in,” he said.
