Karl & Jasmine are ready to tie the knot in Mexico
After months of speculation, the venue is finally revealed
After much subterfuge, and with more decoys than a Hollywood A-list wedding, Woman’s Day can reveal Karl Stefanovic and his fiancee Jasmine Yarbrough will marry in a lavish three-day festival at an exclusive resort on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula in December.
Situated on the beach with expansive views of the Sea of Cortez in resort town Los Cabos, the chapel at the One & Only Palmilla resort will host the highprofile pair as they tie the knot.
A source tells Woman’s Day Jasmine’s family, especially her grandmother, are thrilled she’ll marry in a traditional chapel. They’re part of the Anglican community in Ascot, Brisbane.
WEDDING OF THE YEAR
Close friends and family lucky enough to score an invite will be wined and dined on a traditional Mexican patio aglow with candles and with views across the coast.
Guests will be treated to an eight-course banquet before a breathtaking fireworks display kicks off the afterparty, where the group will dance until dawn.
Jasmine, 33, will stick to the tradition of spending the night before the wedding away from her groom, so the couple have booked the two main luxury oceanfront villas, each with four bedrooms and an impressive infinity pool overlooking the Sea of Cortez, with private butlers to boot!
The celebrations won’t come cheap, with the villas costing between $11,000 and $15,000 a night, and that’s not including the first-class tickets Karl, 44, is rumoured to be forking out for Jasmine’s family.
While 60 of the couple’s nearest and dearest will be in attendance at the lavish affair, there will be one noticeable absence – Karl’s eldest son Jackson, 18, who also missed his dad’s commitment ceremony to Jasmine in March.
Jasmine is said to be making a last-minute trip to the resort this month to finalise plans with the on-site wedding planner.
