‘Elle knows his rep… but she’s letting her heart rule her head’

She’s’ on cloud nine with new love, Brit doctor Andrew Wakefield, but close friends of Elle Macpherson fear she could come crashing down with a thud if the romance continues.

Just weeks after Woman’s Day reported she was dating the controversial 61-year-old anti-vaccination campaigner, we can exclusively reveal their relationship has notched up a level as he is rumoured to have moved into her Miami mansion!

But friends close to Elle are begging her to ditch the “dodgy” doc, warning the 54-year-old her new flame is “dangerous”. DITCH THE DODGIES! Elle’s latest love interest mirrors the supermodel’s penchant for billionaire bad boys, including Tim Jefferies, Kevin Costner, Arpad Busson and Jeffrey Soffer.

Andrew was infamously struck off the UK medical register in 2010 for “serious professional misconduct” after fraudulently linking vaccinations with autism.

Moving to the US to reinvent himself, he resumed his notoriety by continuing to promote his theories there.

“Elle knows she’ll lose support dating him because of his controversial campaigning, but she’s letting her heart rule her head,” our worried Woman’s Day source tells.

With Andrew’s personal life as chequered as his professional life, it’s no wonder fears for unlucky-in-love Elle, who has sons Flynn, 20, and Aurelius, 15, are heightened.

Sources reveal Andrew has left his wife and their children – sons James, 29, Samuel, 27 and Coren, 21, and daughter Imogen, 24 – in their $1.4 million Tuscan-style villa in Austin, Texas. After officially splitting from his wife, radio host Carmel, in April this year she’s said to be devastated.

“It’s been embarrassing for Carmel because she stood by him through all the controversy. For him to up and leave like that – she’s still in shock,” a close family source reveals.

Carmel’s loyalty was unwavering, some argue extreme, when the estranged couple made a scandalous confession they took blood samples from children at their son’s birthday party.

Andrew explained, “We needed blood samples from healthy children. Of course, in hospital you don’t see healthy children. We had a birthday party coming up and my wife suggested we get some blood from the children at the party. I thoughtht it was a reasonable idea.”

And now, while Andrew is growing his political voice in the States, even receiving thee backing of President Trump in August 2016, and garnering support from stars such as Jim Carrey and Jenny Mccarthy, he’s not what the doctor ordered, say Elle’s friends.

UNLUCKY IN LOVE

The beauty is yet to publicly confirm her relationship – despite being snapped kissing Andrew in July at a farmers’ market in Miami, Florida – and has voiced no opinion as to whether she supports Andrew’s theories about vaccines causing autism. Even so, friends are desperate for Elle to save herself from another disastrous relationship.

“Everyone’s worried they’re moving too fast and not thinking about the family he’s leaving behind. They’re in their own world and doing what they want to do,” our source spills.
