Kate’s still the royal fashion No.1

Although Meghan’s one of the most influential people in fashion, it’s Kate who rules the style stakes! She’s had the biggest effect on people’s fashion choices this year, generating more searches on retail site Ebay than her new sister-in-law. When Kate stood outside the Lindo Wing in April in a red Jenny Packham dress cradling Prince Louis, the designer had double the amount of searches for the same frock.

Meghan has made an influential imprint, too – her Givenchy wedding gown saw a spike in the designer’s sales. “Meghan’s been the focus of the fashion pages this year but Kate’s distinctive style has long been a hit with shoppers on Ebay,” the UK vice president of Ebay Rob Hattrell confirmed last week.
