Meghan cooks for a cause
In her first solo venture as a royalroyal, Meghan Markle has thrown her support behind a charity cookbook to help raise funds for victims of London’s Grenfell Tower fire.
After losing their homes in the inferno, residents began using the facilities at the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre to cook meals for the families. After hearing about the Hubb Community Kitchen, Meghan, who is believed to be expecting her first child, secretly began visiting the haven and getting stuck in whipping up culinary delights!
“I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen – it is a place pla for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook togetogether,” says the Duchess of Sussex. It was then t the former Suits star, dubbed the Queen of Hearts, came up with the idea
of ccreating a cookbook. Together: Our Community Cookbook, which w features more than 50 recipes, is i already a big success before it’s even e been released! It’s shot to the top of the Amazon bestseller list.
