SHANE’S ROMANTIC PROPOSAL TO LIZ
Shane Warne and Elizabeth Hurley have sparked further talk of a romantic reunion – after he spilled the beans about their love affair in his new biography.
Friends say the cricket great’s book, No Spin, reads more like an open love letter to his ex, whom he dated from 2010 until 2013.
As Woman’s Day revealed last week, the pair have been in constant contact recently and friends anticipate a permanent reunion is just a matter of time.
“Shane’s basically admitted that Elizabeth is the only girl for him and his world’s been emptier without her in it,” says an insider. “Liz was the one person who truly ‘got’ him.
“She definitely still adores him, too.”
The book also highlights the untold story of Shane’s proposal to Liz on board James Packer’s boat in 2011.
“In the middle of a dance, I grabbed Elizabeth, dropped to one knee and said, ‘I’m not sure about you, but I’ve never got along with any woman as well as I get along with you. I’m madly in love with you. Our kids get along great. How would you like to spend the rest of your life with me?’’’ he revealed.
The model, 53, said she was in love with the 49-yearold, too. “I’ve never got on better with anyone than I do with you either,” she replied.
