FEATHER TOUCH BROW TATTOO
Woman’s Day Editor-in-chief FIONA CONNOLLY goes under the needle in the quest for picture-perfect brows
WHAT IS IT ?
Otherwise known as “microblading”, feather touch brows are created using either a hand tool or machine technique. The process involves using a mineral pigment to create very fine strokes that mimic hair into the outer layers of the skin.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This treatment is semi-permanent unlike traditional tattoos, and will fade over time. Approximately three treatments spread four weeks apart are needed to reach the end result of perfect brows, with a top-up recommended once a year.
THE VERDICT?
“I’ve struggled with my brows looking patchy for years, and recently noticed grey hairs,” says Fi. “The process was as quick as having a shape and dye and no more painful than waxing. The only challenge was keeping them dry from moisture for seven to 10 days, but Diana at Brows Baby provided a barrier cream to protect them. I couldn’t be happier with the results!”
