A shy child, Adrian’s mother encouraged him to take up acting to boost his confidence. He was spotted by the film’s producers in his Saturday stage school. Adrian returned to school when filming finished, but when he decided to take up acting again at 18, he says the iconic role held him back. “People only think you’re a child actor,” he said. The father-of-two is now a part-time drama teacher.
