Ricki-lee loves her curves!
The talented Aussie songstress is finally happy with the skin she’s in
She’s been open about her struggles with body image in the past, but these days, its clear Ricki-lee Coulter is loving her curves.
“Being comfortable in your skin isn’t about being perfect, because nobody’s perfect! It’s about being accepting of your so-called ‘imperfections’ and ‘flaws’ and embracing your body and loving yourself sick regardless!” says the 32-year-old singer.
Just last week, Ricki-lee proudly showed off her figure as she joined her husband Richard Harrison and friends on a scuba diving jaunt while holidaying in NSW hotspot Byron Bay.
During the trip, the former Australian Idol star, who in the past has admitted to having a “love-hate relationship with her body”, also took to social media to poke fun at her curves in a post championing body positivity and all sizes.
“Look at her butt... it is so big,” a friend can be heard saying in the candid video shared on Instagram, which shows Ricki-lee confidently wriggling her behind.
“People don’t believe me when I say I have a huge a**... I look like a big marshmallow,” she wrote. “I guess I’m a pear.”
In 2010, the star overhauled her lifestyle, embarking on a strict regimen that saw her shed 30kg over four years, dropping from a curvaceous size 14 to a size 8.
“I’m not one of those girls who is naturally thin and can eat whatever I want. I am consistent with the food I eat day in, day out and I work my ass off in the gym… literally!” she said at the time. “I eat the same clean foods every day, I train hard six days a week and don’t drink alcohol regularly.”
But Ricki-lee has since relaxed her strict regimen and is now embracing her fuller figure. And with that she’s welcomed a new outlook on life.
