Miranda Kerr ‘I’VE GOT A MUM BOD AND I’M PROUD OF IT!’

Six months after giving birth, the Aussie model’s loving the skin she’s in

While most Hollywood stars feel the pressure to immediately bounce back after giving birth, Miranda Kerr says she’s in no rush to shed her pregnancy weight. In fact, the 35-year-old Australian supermodel, who welcomed her second son Hart six months ago, has happily embraced her newfound curves. “It’s really important as women that we’re gentle with ourselves and don’t feel like we have to snap back into shape after a baby. It’s OK, I’ve got a mum bod and it’s fine!” says Miranda. Her refreshing confession comes after she slimmed down in record time following the birth of her eldest son Flynn in 2011. Having gained roughly 18kg during her pregnancy, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel stuck to a strict diet, breastfed and did intense yoga sessions in order to return to the runway just two months later. However, second time round, Miranda says she hasn’t given herself a deadline to lose the extra kilos by. “I took nine months – well, 10 months – to grow a beautiful child and it might take 10 months to feel good in a swimsuit again. Or longer. Or never,” she says. At peace with her changing body and the realities of motherhood, Miranda also goes on to reveal that she “definitely” plans to have another child with her billionaire husband Evan Spiegel, 28 – just not right this second. While a third sibling might be a few years away, Miranda adds, “I love being a mum. It’s just the most rewarding thing.”
