Woman’s Day (Australia) - - Letters -

A fair dinkum Aussie icon, Recognised both near and far, Our Opera House With soaring sails, Performed in by many stars. It’s hosted famous visitors, Prince Harry, and his Meg, Who delighted the whole country, On their royal tour leg. With its place on Sydney Harbour, From where the yachties come and go, It’s sparkling water, sunny skies, Put on an awesome show... The start of the Sydney-hobart, A race to test the best, They sail right past the Opera House, Down to Bass Strait And stormy crests! It’s a symbol of our freedom, mateship, creative thinking, Soaring high... Australians all let us rejoice Beneath our clear blue skies! Barbara (Barbie) Clarke, via email
