Chris & Elsa’s Byron bust-up

Not even a fun family day out could ease the tension between them

-

The sun might have been shining in Byron Bay last week, but it did nothing to melt the frostiness between actor Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky as they spent a family day on the sand.

Onlookers were shocked to see the couple having a few terse words with each other as they packed up for the day.

“Something was stressing Elsa out, you could tell by her body language,” an onlooker tells Woman’s Day. “Chris looked pretty fed up, too.”

Their curt display comes after rumours that all is not well in their eight-year marriage.

“Chris is one of the world’s most famous men and his career is at an all-time high, meaning he’s almost never home,” spills a source. “Elsa feels neglected since she’s the one left at home with the kids all the time.”

Chris, 35, and Elsa 42, who married in 2010 just months after meeting, have three children, daughter India, six, and fouryear-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan, and rely on each other for support.

“Elsa’s family is all in Spain so she feels very alone – and has no problem telling Chris that,” adds our source. “That can often spark tension between them.”

The Spanish model-actress has confirmed rumours of marital discord in the past.

“We were married and then a year later we had kids,” she says. “It puts a lot of pressure on a marriage.”
