The mother-daughter duo are happier than ever and can’t wait to say ‘I do’

When it comes to mother-daughter relationships, Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson’s is the one to beat.

They’ve always shared a loving bond and the actresses seem closer than ever before – they love to laugh together, shop together and now it’s been revealed they’re both getting married!

Woman’s Day has learned that 73-year-old Goldie and new mum Kate, 39, are talking about tying the knot with their lovers – Kurt Russell, who Goldie has

been with for more than three decades, and musician Danny Fujikawa, 32, who Kate has been dating for over a year and just celebrated the birth of their first child together – in a joint wedding in the new year.

DOUBLE WEDDING

“Goldie and Kate have never looked or felt better, and feel lucky to have such great guys,” a close source tells Woman’s Day.

“They both love the idea of having a double wedding in 2019 to celebrate their good fortune. Kate is a romantic and has been talking wedding ideas for weeks.

“All her chatter got Goldie thinking, and she actually suggested they take the plunge together and get hitched.”

Kate – who already has two children, Ryder, 14, and Bingham, seven – gave birth to daughter Rani Rose in October and wants to lose some more weight before she slips into her wedding dress.

The Mother’s Day star has recently teamed up with Weight Watchers to help her do just th that. “It’s clearly working for K Kate,” says our insider.

“She’s starting to look like her to toned, athletic self, and Goldie has stepped up her workout regimen, too.”

Goldie, who has been married twice, shares four children with 67-year-old Kurt – Boston Russell, 38, from Kurt’s previous marriage, Kate and Oliver Hudson, 42, from Goldie’s previous marriage to Bill Hudson, and their son Wyatt, 32.

They’re one big happy family, so the idea of a double wedding comes at a good point in both Kate and Goldie’s lives.

“Kate and Danny have been talking about getting married for a while, and were waiting for the right time,” reveals our insider. “They’ve known each other for 16 years and are best friends.”

SYMBOLIC GESTURE

Hollywood’s favourite couple, Goldie and Kurt fell for each other on the set of the 1983 romcom Swing Shift.

“Goldie and Kurt have been together so long, so for them a wedding would be more of a symbolic gesture,” adds our source.

“One idea is to have a small and intimate ceremony in Malibu. Goldie and Kurt have a house right on the beach and they could have the party there – nothing huge, just family and a few of their closest friends.

“They’re thinking fun, good food, band. Kate and Goldie see eye-to-eye on everything, so they’ll be no bridezillas. They’ve never been happier and getting married at the same time would be the icing on the cake.”
