MAFS The truth about Ryan

The Married At First Sight star’s feud with his reality TV star mates explodes

-

Producers love him and female fans fawn all over Ryan Gallagher, so why is the Married At First Sight star suddenly on the nose with his castmates and TV friends?

It’s been coming for a while, according to insiders, who say they’re tired of the novice comedian’s Jekyll and Hyde personality.

“When he’s good, he’s great,” says a friend close to the tattooed reality TV star. “But when he snaps, he gets this intense look in his eyes and you have to tiptoe around him, for fear of saying the wrong thing.”

Things came to a head last week, after it was revealed Ryan had fallen out with his best mates and former MAFS co-stars Telv Williams and Dean Wells due to them cosying up to Ryan’s now ex-girlfriend Ayla Browne at a recent party at The Candy Shop Mansion. He’s also apparently severed ties with Love Island star Eden Dally, 26.

FALLING OUT

“Ayla took a short video of me, posted it to social media and Ryan snapped,” Telv tells

Woman’s Day. “[Ryan] said, ‘Thought you would have had my back, mate,’ As if I was with his girl, which is the furthest thing from the truth.

“Then he blocked me, Dean and Eden, simply because they were in the room too, saying, ‘After this weekend,

‘Ryan gets really cranky and none of us can be bothered’

I know who my mates are.’ He gets in really cranky moods, and none of us can be bothered working him out any more.”

Ryan, 30, insists he blocked the trio from Instagram because he found out about their partying with Ayla on “the same day I found out my mum had cancer… and I didn’t have the energy to worry about that in my life.”

While all involved agree it’s tragic news for Ryan, it appears there may be more to the spat than meets the eye. Telv, 34, claims to Woman’s

Day that Ryan owes him money for appearing in one of his recent comedy shows. Dean says that he also owes him.

Woman’s Day contacted Ryan and his management to respond and share his version of the events, but he chose not to comment.

In a video posted to Youtube last week, Dean, 40, also claimed Ryan recently borrowed his car, then dumped it and wouldn’t tell him where it was when he called him.

“I haven’t spoken to him since,” Dean said in the clip. “The point is that we didn’t disrespect Ryan in any way... I’ve done nothing wrong and I’m sick of being the bad guy all

the time.”

Fellow Married At First Sight contestant Matty Lockett, 32, also weighed in on the feud, saying in an Instagram video that he’s seen a change in Ryan in recent times too.

“He’s blocked me too,” he said. “If you want to be a comedian, actually be funny. And if you’re gonna give it, make sure you can take a beating.”

CUTTING TIES

Ryan’s relationship with roommate and The Bachelorette star Davey Lloyd might also be going through a rough patch after rumours emerged of a huge blow-up. While Ryan’s manager, who also represents Davey, denies things got physical, other reality stars claim it did. Those close to Ryan believe cracks are definitely showing in his nice-guy persona, and insist he’s “desperate for fame”. “I’ve been worried about him for a while. I feel like the fame has definitely got to his head,” says Telv. “He’s definitely not the same person he was when he went on the show.”
