DELTA’S BYRON BAY WEDDING SHOCK!
It looks like the singer has tied the knot with her muso boyfriend
Eight years after she ended her engagement to Brian Mcfadden, Delta Goodrem appears to have finally made it down the aisle!
Just as Woman’s Day was going to press, the Voice Australia coach and her long-term boyfriend, musician Matthew Copley, shared several photos from what looked to be an intimate New Year’s wedding in Newrybar, near Byron Bay.
The pair were joined by several close friends, who travelled to Byron via Brisbane ahead of the celebrations. The apparent ceremony took place at Blue Green Sanctuary, which is “nestled in the hills,” just 12 minutes outside the beachside hamlet, a favourite among local and Hollywood celebrities alike.
Accommodation at the chic resort ranges from $500 to $2000 a night, and offers a honeymoon suite. “The honeymoon suite is upstairs under a soaring cathedral
ceiling – the bed king-sized and handcrafted out of recycled timber,” reads the website. “And in the corner of the room, a terrazzo spa-bath that opens out to the courtyard shower.”
Dressed in a see-through white dress, and with a flower crown atop her flowing golden locks, a barefoot Delta stuck to her boho style. “I like to keep my style natural but always have a hippy edge, whether that’s in the jewellery or my hair,” Delta revealed in 2016. “It’s important to me to make a look my own, I’m a total bohemian at heart.”

And it seems it’s a sentiment shared by Matthew, who followed the laid-back dress code with his white pants, green shirt and trilby hat. In a quick video shared by Delta, Michael could also be seen serenading the lucky partygoers with his guitar. The couple then embraced under fireworks with their guests joyfully dancing around them.
While neither Delta, 34, nor Matt had commented on the speculation at press time, the time of the secret nuptials would be quite fitting. Their one-year anniversary is this month, with the pair confirming their relationship with a very public kiss while on holiday in Hawaii at the start of 2018. It could also explain why several of their guests dressed in flower headbands, tropical colours and palm tree shirts.
Further fuelling speculation of a wedding, Delta’s famous friends including the Veronicas’ Lisa Origliasso and model Cheyenne Tozzi appeared to congratulate her and Matt in the comments of their Instagram posts.
Fans were equally as gushing, with one writing, “This looks like a wedding,” while another wrote, “I’m so happy for you, Delta! If you’re happy, then I’m happy.”
