It’s no happily ever r after for Charlotte, , but Charlene (right) did finally marry her prince… … in tears.

Charlotte Casiraghi has ended her engagement to film producer Dimitri Rassam, 36, just months after giving birth to their son Balthazar. The eldest daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco, 32, had planned to marry Dimitri in June 2018, but “postponed” the nuptials until after aft the birth of their child. “They haven’t been g getting along and the baby j just seemed to exacerbate t their problems,” reveals a an insider. To those in her social c circle, their two-year love affair that led to the broken engagement comes as no surprise.

“She has come close to marriage many times but has always backed out,” spills our insider. “She and Dimitri are stubborn, strongwilled people. She loves the notion of getting married but making it to the altar is a different thing entirely. She’s known as a runaway bride.”

Like Charlotte, Princess Charlene of Monaco, 40, was labelled a “runaway bride”. She tried to flee home to South Africa three times before her marriage to Prince Albert in 2011.
