Someone call a lifeguard, because Grant and Chezzi Denyer might be in need of some relationship resuscitation!
The couple, who have been married for nearly nine years, were spotted looking seriously strained as they treated their daughters Sailor, seven, and Scout, three, to a day at the beach at Ballina, in the NSW Northern Rivers, on January 2.
As their two girls splashed about in the shallows, Grant and Chezzi seemed to exchange tense words with one another. At one point Chezzi stood with her hands on her hips as she spoke with the Gold Logie winner.
Not even a jetski ride could evoke smiles from the pair. In fact, instead of wrapping her arms around her husband as they hit the water, Chezzi opted to sit on the jetski with her back to Grant instead!
The noticeable lack of affection between Grant, 41, and Chezzi during their beach outing was quite a change of pace for them. The pair are usually very lovey-dovey with each other on social media and whenever they’re out in public, and they love sharing a laugh.
“I’m not sure if it was just the heat, but they didn’t look happy,” one onlooker tells Woman’s Day. “The kids were having fun, but they just seemed off.”
